Shakira says “I trust that as time goes by, there will be more and more people who want to help those in need. When that happens, the world will definitely come to know peace.” and I agree with her. If we work together, we will live in a better world where everyone is happy.

"Shakira Mebarak, world-famous singer and songwriter, is a devoted advocate for children. The singer, known professionally as Shakira, was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador on 24 October 2003.
Shakira believes that, as an artist, she has the ability to raise awareness about human rights challenges globally and to spur action against them. “I believe that I have to use the resources provided by my artistic career in order to tell people about real problems in the real world, and I know that I have to contribute to the search for real solutions. I’m sure that our planet will be a better place if each one of us will take responsibility for the needs of others.”
Shakira is the founder of the Pies Descalzos Foundation, which provides displaced and underprivileged children in her native Colombia with access to quality education. In addition to building projects which ensure that children have safe and well-equipped learning facilities, the foundation supplies nutritious meals; educational enrichment through art, music and recreation; and economic opportunities for families. Shakira also established the Barefoot Foundation, which advocates globally for universal access to education and she is the co-founder of ALAS, a movement of Latin American artists and businesspeople dedicated to early childhood development interventions. As a Goodwill Ambassador, Shakira has expanded her child advocacy efforts on the global level. Through public service announcements and her participation in fundraisers and other events for UNICEF national committees, she has increased awareness of UNICEF’s work in areas such as HIV/AIDS, education and child protection."

David Beckham says “We can’t turn a blind eye to the tens of thousands of young children who die every day in the developing world mostly from causes that are preventable.” and he is right. See what he did to help changing the world.

"David Beckham, the British born soccer star, is admired by legions of fans around the world for his skilful moves and powerful kicks on the field. On 10 January 2005, the former England captain was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador with a special focus on UNICEF's Sports for Development programme.
Mr. Beckham’s support for UNICEF began while at the Manchester United Football Club. In November 1999, the team began their ‘United for UNICEF’ partnership with the UK Committee to raise awareness and funds for UNICEF. Mr. Beckham and his team-mates took part in campaigns and fundraising activities to establish education and recreational programmes involving football for children around the world.
In July 2001, while on a pre-season tour in Thailand with the Manchester team, Mr. Beckham visited the UNICEF-supported Kredtrakarn Centre, meeting children as young as five who were victims of exploitation and trafficking.
Within days of his appointment, Mr. Beckham travelled to UNICEF’s Supply Division in Copenhagen to see the crucial work being done to aid children affected by the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. There he helped launch a television fundraising appeal with the recording of a public service announcement, an important asset in that campaign.
Mr. Beckham pledged his support for the ‘Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS’ campaign and took part in a series of films to promote the campaigns’ messages. In addition, David Beckham and his wife Victoria chose UNICEF to be one of the beneficiaries of their ‘Full length and Fabulous Party’ held on 21 May 2006, with funds raised going to support this campaign.
In his ongoing support for UNICEF, Mr. Beckham travelled to Sierra Leone in 2008 to bring attention to the country’s dire child survival conditions. His visit supported the launch of UNICEF 2008 State of the World’s Children Report, which focussed on child mortality and brought worldwide coverage to the issue."

The famous Jackie Chan is "fighting" too, for helping people around the world. See what he did.

"Jackie Chan, world-famous actor, martial arts expert and comic charmer, is also known for using his celebrity status as a vehicle for humanitarian and public service work. During a visit to Cambodia in April 2004, Mr. Chan was appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
As Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Chan is an inspiration to young people and a compelling advocate for children. On his UNICEF missions, he provides empathy and hope to children, such as those who face an uncertain future because of economic hardship, experience HIV- or AIDS-related discrimination or struggle to live with landmine injuries. In a recent UNICEF mission, to Timor-Leste, he met with students, out-of-school youth and young street rivals to talk of the peaceful and unifying force of martial arts.
Mr. Chan has also made numerous public service announcements to raise awareness on issues that can have devastating consequences for children, such as AIDS and avian influenza.

Mr. Chan’s other philanthropic endeavours include the Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation in Hong Kong, founded in 1988, which offers scholarships and support to young people, and provides medical services and aid to victims of natural disasters. In 2005, he founded the Dragon’s Heart Foundation to assist children and elderly people in remote areas of China."

The actor, Orlando Bloom, says "UNICEF is known all over the world for delivering humanitarian aid, but they also educate and provide tools to help women and children. I responded to how UNICEF works as much as I did to the work itself. I look forward to learning more and to supporting UNICEF any way I can.".

"English film and stage actor Orlando Bloom was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador on 12 October 2009, in recognition of his commitment to the rights of children around the world.

Mr. Bloom has supported UNICEF since 2007, when he first visited schools in the remote western districts of Kaski and Chitwan, two of the poorest areas of Nepal. He spoke about the importance of education and he was able to see how UNICEF's water and sanitation programmes benefit local families. When asked by the children, Mr. Bloom agreed to perform a small role in their local school radio production.
In 2008, Mr. Bloom visited Nepal again to see how UNICEF and its partners are providing clean water for children and families. He also visited the Krasnoselsky centre in Moscow, a shelter for children from economically vulnerable families. In 2008 Mr. Bloom went to Sarajevo to see firsthand the situation of children in the country."

"Leo Messi, FC Barcelona and Argentine national team soccer star is considered to be one of the best and most respected players of his generation. On 11 March, Mr. Messi was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Mr. Messi has dedicated time to UNICEF since 2004, supporting the offices in Spain and Argentina with advocacy and fundraising. He was among a team of top soccer players who were featured in a Public Service Announcement to launch the FIFA-UNICEF joint campaign for the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany under the banner ‘Unite for Children, Unite for Peace.' In 2007, he participated in a local UNICEF telethon called ‘Un Sol para los Chicos’ which raised over US$1 million to benefit UNICEF projects in Argentina."

Angelina Jolie, a famous actress, says "I've started to really become aware of the world we live in, what's really going on. I think we should try to be responsible and educate ourselves. I'm simply doing that and traveling, learning first hand, and seeing first hand what's going on.". For me Angelina is one of my favourite people in the world, because she is very comitted to the cause and I feel she want this more then anyone. And because she´s a famous person, she is taking advantage of her fame to transmite a mensage to the world, and that´s why I admire her.

Angelina Jolie interrupted her busy life to travel to Africa in order to learn about and help refugees under the care of UNHCR. Angelina paid her own way and from February 22 to March 9, 2001 (18 days) she spent time in Sierra Leone and Tanzania as a good will ambassador. During her stay, she visited amputee camps, war-injured camps and camps for women that had experienced various traumas. "I've started to really become aware of the world we live in, what's really going on," Angelina says. "I think we should try to be responsible and educate ourselves. I'm simply doing that and traveling, learning first hand, and seeing first hand what's going on."

There are many other people helping our world, but it would be better if all famous and rich person help the world.
You don´t need to be rich or be known by everyone to help other people. You can do simple things like donate food, money or clothes and toys that you don´t use.
It´s so simple. And never forget that one little action can make a huge difference in the world.
